Pocket tries to provide constant supports for foreigners who intend to study and work in Japan. Foreigners living in Japan are encountering numerous difficulties in cultural differences, living environment, house rentals, etc… In our community information website called Comitomo, we are providing dailylife support information in 4 languages: Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, and English… so that foreigners can enjoy working and living in Japan.
As of June 2019, the number of foreigners living in Japan reached a record 2.83 million people, including 2,51 million mid to long-term residents; and 317,849 special permanent residents. Of the foreign nationals in the nation, Chinese residents ranked the first-largerst group at 786,241 residents, followed by South Koreans at 451,543 people, and Vietnamese community at 371,755. However, very little information are provided in foreign languages to support daily life in public facilities, etc. Therefore, there are increasing numbers of foreigners facing troubles living and working in Japan.
This has motivated our company to start providing support services to help solving social problems faced by foreigners. Even though language, custom, culture, etc. are different; in order to expand Japan’s economy, Japanese and foreigners need mutual understanding.
